It has been some time since the owner of a sheep farm, Mr. Vlastimil Petrlák, approached us with a request for a high-performing and reliable energizer for an electric fence. The main reason for the initial contact was dissatisfaction with an existing fence energizer from another manufacturer, with which he was constantly dealing with the problem of insufficient output power and unreliability.
After a bad experience with a competitor's electric fence system, which works via a GSM module that allows you to receive notifications of voltage changes via SMS, he was looking for another, better and more reliable smart electric fence solution. One thing led to another and after getting acquainted with our sophisticated Smart Farm system, which allows a perfect overview of the electric fences, we had another client who was interested in Smart Farm with fencee Cloud app.
Petrlák Farm was established in 2014 with the intention of year-round sheep breeding. In the spring they started building their first electric fence and in the autumn they brought in a basic breeding flock of 11 sheep from the Strathisla Sea Bird line. Minimal breeding experience, virtually no farming background, and the unwillingness of other breeders to share information and advice - all contributed to the slow and difficult start-up of the sheep farm. As time passed and they gained their own experiences, everything began to turn towards a better tomorrow and the pleasure of sheep farming. They currently own 19 ewes and 40 lambs, with about half ewes and half lambs. The entire farm covers an area of 13,3 hectares. Another key element for the acquisition was the sufficient power of the fence energizer. The electric fences are now powered by smart energizer fencee energy DUO RF EDX150, which has the function of gradually increasing the output power up to 15 J according to the current load of the fence. "A high-performing fence energizer is handy, more power = less problems. Basically, we don't care about anything until the energizer calls itself."
The energizers of the fencee energy DUO RF EDX model series have an output power of 8 - 15 J. This makes them suitable for locations where you need to ensure maximum power and reliability for the correct functioning of the entire electric fence. EDX energizers display the current load status of the electric fence on the backlit LCD display. The remote control of the electric fence was also an essential factor for more efficient work, saving time and effort. The smart energizers can be controlled with a handy remote controller or mobile phone via the fencee Cloud app. "Before we got the smart RF energizer fencee, we had to walk to the old energizer every time, or call someone to turn it off - trial and error ensued to see if the fence was still energized or not."

The benefit of remote-controlled electric fencing is very practical in farm life. This is confirmed by Jakub Petrlák, who has the largest proportion in the maintenance of electric fences. Thanks to the time saved, he has more leeway to improve conditions on the farm and also to breed the sheep.

Electric fences for sheep consist of massive wooden posts with a 3.15 mm diameter steel wire to the fence, which ensures the highest possible conductivity along the entire length of the electric fence. The main fence was built with five rows of fence wires. The next sections of the fence have 4 rows of wire and the last has only three rows. They use electric fence nets for operational division of the fence. For security reasons, the farm is actively monitored by CCTV.
All fences are interconnected and powered by one high-performing energizer, which is located at the edge of the wooden shepherd's hut under the constant influence of the outside environment. Just below the energizer is a central control device FENCE WiFi GATEWAY GW100, which allows remote control and online monitoring of the electric fence parameters by mobile phone or PC.
The WiFi Gateway is connected to the Internet, communicates with a smart RF energizer and sends data to the Cloud. Thanks to the cloud solution and RF technology, the electric fence can be controlled and monitored from virtually anywhere via the fencee Cloud app, which can also be used via a web interface on a computer. In addition, the PC version provides enhanced options of map bases, device sharing and granting of fence control rights.
